UIA 2023 Copenhagen World Congress

I am so happy and proud to participate at the UIA (International Union of Architects) 2023 World Congress, that takes place in Copenhagen Denmark, from July 2-6.

On Monday July 3rd, I will be presenting a Paper entitled: “Contextual as a prerequisite for Social. A survey-based adaptation of a housing case study in Abu Dhabi”, co-authored by Prof. Magdy Ibrahim and myself. This paper is part of an ongoing research project on “social” housing in the UAE and the documentation of a dynamic and paradoxical cultural and contextual conflict.

I am also equally proud to represent Greece at the UIA “Golden Cubes” Award (for children and Architecture), with my “Children, Architecture and the City” recurring Workshop between the Department of Architecture and Design of Abu Dhabi University and Year 4 students of the British International School Abu Dhabi, albeit without having received any distinction at the global level.
